Dilettante

     Okay, it's been a long time coming, it will be a long time gone.  It is not novel that a lame duck President has had to deal with both houses of Congress, meaning the Senate and the House of Representatives has been dominated by the opposite party in their second term and excuse the redundancy here.  What is not novel since Eisenhower is the lack of reconciliation.  What we have here, as Strother Martin once said in Cool Hand Luke, is a failure to communicate.
     Instantaneously, we have people in all the Pup Tents around the Beltway, and I mean the ones with the bellies hanging over their  belt drawing lines in the sand.  Executive Orders and threats of eliminating the Affordable Care Act, which by the way is an Oxymoron, for at least 51 times.  It doesn't seem possible in legislative terms, but yeah, let's take it to the Supreme Court, which by the way is dominated by the Wings of the Conservative Angels of Mercy.  Meaning, I suppose, even if a bill came to the Senate and got passed, the President could yield the sword of the Veto, which it seems in Layman terms, he has only used twice.
     There are reasons, if only in my mind, to deal with immigration in a different light.  Why not, for a country sort of based on Immigrants to allow those who have been here most of their lives, to become part of the solution.  Give them driver's licenses, make them pay taxes, let them pay for registering their vehicles and carry car insurance and let them pay for their Healthcare Benefits.  If they all joined in the pool then maybe we wouldn't have to have the government subsidize their healthcare.  Other global partners agree to pay more in taxes to deal with this, since it seems to actually go to provide medical care rather than find some antiquated rabbit hole and disappear.
     We used to be proud to be American, because we created generally, progress for the populations of the conglomeration of individual states, thus creating a Union.  We developed infrastructures for whatever, products that were functional as well as decorative.  Now our infrastructures are modes of profit making institutions.  Whether it is Healthcare, Prison systems, laws that promote Nepotism, the mass production of processed foods and products that are labeled GMO, which do so many myriad problems associated with it's existence.
     Instead of doing procreation with new ideas, we linger in our mindset to continue the ways of the Internal Combustion Engine, trust our health to Drug Companies rather than the harmonious music that our bodies play for us to keep us in shape.  It's not just the side effects of these two killers, but the idea that diet and exercise to cure the body's traumas, and treating Mother Nature with respect, instead of making her swallow our preoccupation with Self, rather than having this insane idea that we are at the top of the food chain wouldn't have some lasting effect on whether our species would go the way of the Dinosaur or not.
     Make the delineation between laws against something, and making laws that are for something.  Making natural organic compounds, rather than bastardizing synthetic constituents of Mother Nature's plans for sharing wisdom that all other of the creatures on this planet, would seem to begin the ideas that represent part of the solutions and bargain us into reconciliation. If there were cash crops out there which would contribute to the tax base, which it seems we are addicted to, to provide some alleviation to our mindset of existing problems to solve in a germane way, then as the Beatles once extorted us to do in lyrical ways..."   LET IT BE...take a sad song and make it better....!!!!  Hey Jude, What????
     So instead of going down that same path, and being taking upstairs for a "RIDE", take a load off FANNY, and, and, and you take the LOAD off me.  Me and Bobby McGee.  Good God Ya'll, what is this stuff good for...?  Absolutely nothing.  So please before you go and Pray for Sanity, and absolution, for yourself, remember everyone else is in on this "  Welcome to the Jungle..." attitude and we are all in this together, and we can put the Jigsaw puzzle together if we get off this kick of Dilettantism, and move toward ascension of the soul's linear projections and become aware, as I have lamented many times in these predilections, that for every action there is a reaction, and the outcomes are exactly what they are supposed to be, meaning no more "Why Me" moments and accepting the good and the bad consequences to those actions and use them not only as lessons to be learned, but signposts for reasons for us to remember what we are supposed to remember as we Hop, Skip and Jump through what we know as Individual Reality.  Though we are all connected all the time, we also have that consciousness that we are alone.  There is a long, long way to Go, before I sleep...I suppose....LOL, LOL, LOL, giggling all the way, Home.
