Civil Discourse

Now, generally, I don't as a civilian, have any affiliation with political parties or those that participate in the act of governing.  Yet, as an outside observer, I find like most jobs, you are supposed to perform a function, and in this case, I surmise that being part of the government as an elected official, you are suppose to govern as part of your job.
When politicians don't work regularly for whatever reason or purpose, they are not performing that duty, or fulfilling the opportunity they have been given by the people that have taken the responsibility to go and use the right to vote, to put them into office.
Too much time is spent trying to stop something from happening, regardless of their allegiance to PAC money or lobbyists. Their job first should be to public service, making things work for the general public, and when they have fulfilled that duty so defined in the Constitution as a guideline to supplement the perceptions of each elected official, they can return to their real lives as members of a civilian community or caucus of ideas.
